BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Reginald L. (Reg) Armfield, Vice-Chairman
Born and raised in Spokane, Reg Armfield served in the Army Air Forces during World War II. After the war, he attended Whitworth College in Spokane and the University of Washington graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed for 35 years by the Standard Oil Company of California, now known as Chevron. Mr. Armfield worked in Engineering for 15 years as a Project Engineer and Project Manager on the design and construction of Oil Refineries. For the next 20 years, he was involved in Chevron’s Foreign Operations. He served as President of Iran California Oil Company (in London) overseeing Chevron’s interest in the Iranian Consortium, after which he served as Manager- Foreign Operations, having responsibilities for Chevron’s interests in such joint ventures as ARAMCO (Saudi Arabia), the Iranian Consortium and CALTEX, operating in 60 foreign countries. Mr. Armfield retired from Chevron in 1986. He has over 30 years leadership experience in engineering project and business management, negotiations and human resources.
Mr. Armfield was raised a Master Mason in 1965 and received a 32nd Degree in the Scottish Rite in California. After his retirement, he returned to his home state, settling in the Seattle area with his wife and two of his five children. He became a Shriner in Nile Shrine in 1997 and is currently serving as Director, Public Relations.
Mr. Armfield has served on the Board of Trustees of Landmark on the Sound for four years and is dedicated to Landmark’s Vision of providing a premier living community for seniors and its goal of serving as the cornerstone of a statewide network providing families access to services and resources for their well being.
