LEADERSHIP

BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Katherine (Kathi) Dewey, Secretary

Kathi Dewey is a Counseling Registrar in the Highline School District, working with students and families to plan their education and prepare for their futures. Having worked with special needs as well as honor students, Kathi brings a broad base of experiences to assist with their decision making process.

Ms Dewey began her professional career working in retail credit, managing the lost and stolen card department for Nordstrom. She also served as an account manager for the Real Estate Group of Bank of America. Real Estate sales and the office management experience with a local Windermere office provided Kathi with an insightful perspective of our state and national housing markets.

Ms Dewey attended the University of the Americas, in Mexico City, and the University of Washington. Her education continues, as her work requires constant re-certification for public education and clinical support.

Active in many Masonic and community endeavors, Ms Dewey has also served as PTSA President for St Francis of Assisi Catholic School and Flag Team instructor for Highline High School. As a life long member of Masonic organizations, Kathi has served on the state executive board, acted as board chair and Mother Advisor for Washington State’s Order of Rainbow for Girls.

In 2004, Ms Dewey was appointed to the Landmark’s Board by the Grand Chapter of Washington, Order of the Eastern Star. In this organization, she is a life member of two chapters, and has been the presiding officer multiple times. Currently, Kathi is a Grand Representative to the State of Wisconsin in Washington. Additionally, Kathi belongs to Daughters of the Nile where she has held multiple offices.

Family is important and Ms Dewey keeps a watchful eye on her parents, who live independently. Kathi’s two daughters are graduates of WWU and continue to reside in Bellingham. Although raised in West Seattle, Ms Dewey now lives in Kent with her husband Keith.
